Torrie and I have finished our Blackwork Roses correspondence class. I am going to try to post photos here. Torrie did a beautiful job using variegated floss. We are both looking forward to working on “Princess and the Pea” stitchery (more on that later) and in Oct we will take another blackwork class at the EGA national seminar.
I am almost finished with a scarf I am doing on a knitting loom. It is an easy way for those of us who are not good with knit needles to do something with yarn. It is also easy on eyes, both to make and to see.
I did finally, after 8 years, put my pineapple sampler on a frame so I am doing a bit of work on it… and had to ‘frog stitch’ one whole row.. not fun with a lot of ‘over one’ stitches in silk on 28 ct linen.
So, some stitiching going on, but most of my time is on the garden stuff.
